If you are a nice person, or just being nice, you can still expect - TopicsExpress

If you are a nice person, or just being nice, you can still expect some people to react poorly to a perceived change in the experience they are used to having. We are social animals, but that gives you no right to believe that a person who chooses to be nice, deserves a severe consequence for when they are not being nice. Thats the fundamental attrubution error, again.. and you have no idea why they are nice.. experience, belief, mood, change in attitude. Your perception does not give you an entitlement to choose their consequence because you perceive a difference between whatever standard you adhere to and them. That is a person-situation dynamic, a very social one, so is inappropriate at many other times when being social makes no sense. A person who is always nice is likely to be someone who believes in the good in life, maybe a greater good than their immediate surrounds, or has peace bearing values perhaps. The likely ones I can immediately think of anyway. I am not one who can however call a complete social forum, a great thing. Being also considerate of my own bias here, I dont see why we should desire to close ourselves and our minds off to a limited range of experiences. It is a function of society more than your ideal concept of yourself. It serves me no great purpose most of the time here to live in the now, and im probably socially deficient, my experience is that you always have to go 100% of the way to the sensibility of a complete socialite, and very quick and snappy to tolerate anyone else. Thats not being stupid, its just nasty, and dumb. But after that judgement comes the halfway point, and it dont work, segregated from the only power they feel they will ever have. Sounds like high school actually, or race day.. not that they have any other similarity. We are segregated from each other, all too often in Australia, because of our social class, but money corrupts that ideal to begin with, and being social is not being human, being human is being social.. and there you go.. The way of reality today. Loving that.. laughing.. usual, forever.. no thank you.
