If you are traveling by car with your route mapped or your GPS programmed the last thing you want to see is Road construction detour ahead. When you turn on the detour, your GPS begins repeating in an annoying way the word recalculating and you wonder how long this will take. Even if you live in the area and know all the alternate routes, after a time, you wish that they would just get the project done. You do not want to spend the extra time and deal with the extra traffic on the back roads and alternate routes. You don’t want to wait behind a traveler who comes to a road-closed sign and stops because the GPS unit tells him to turn but he can’t. You want to get to your destination.
