If you are trying to lose weight: keep your lunches under 400(women), under 500(men). Always include a source of protein and an insulin friendly starch. Let vegetables be the center piece of your plate and of course a sweet piece of fruit for dessert is Ok. Drink H2O before the meal! Chicken breast(150 cals), 1/2 cup brown rice(1 cup for men) or pasta (approx. 200 cals), large colourful salad with 1 tbsp oil and vinegar (50 cals)... OR... 1 tin tuna fish(170 cals), 2 tbsp hummus(50 cals) 2 triangles pita bread(50 cals) and large salad with oil and vinegar(50 cals)... Just some options! Enjoy your Tuesday!!
