If you are woman of African descent, you already know and live with the daily expectations of how to behave. You are expected to be strong, which essentially translates to having a no-tolerance attitude, being a bit aggressive, perhaps also quite expressive. In some cases, expressiveness and aggressiveness become synonymous.... But what of those women – like myself – who do not express such characteristics?
