October 14th, 2013.... Happy Monday everyone. Today my foster parents had to go back to work, and Duke had to be crated for the day. Poor Duke went number two in his crate and my foster dad had to give him a bath tonight to get him cleaned up. Duke sure was happy to get that bath tonight! He now looks and smells much better! Duke still has his hematoma and is swollen. Yesterday he couldnt sit down because he was soar, but he was sitting tonight so seems to be feeling a little better. He still is leaking a little blood but not as much as before. Hopefully Duke will be feeling good in no time. I myself have been doing great! My daily routine is quite to my liking! I wake up and patiently wait for my foster mom to come get me to carry me to the front door to go potty outside. I come in and get my breakfast and something to drink. While my foster mom takes a shower I usually hang out in front of the bathroom waiting for her to get done. Then while she gets dressed I hang out in the walk in closet and like to curl up and wait while she finishes getting ready. When she is all done she takes me outside again and then puts my diaper on. I know she is leaving soon so crawl onto the pet bed and prepare to take a nap. My foster parents son gets home first and takes me out to go potty. I like it when he gives me attention and pets me. He likes to pet my nice soft coat. He also like to ask me to shake which I do very well! Then I patiently wait for my foster mom to get home. I like it when we go for walks at night... I am slowly getting more strong, but sometimes we go for walks a little too far and my foster mom or dad have to pick me up and carry me for a little bit. I dont like it when cars pass so I especially like it when we go for a walk in the woods with no cars around. My favorite part of the day is when I get to snuggle on the sofa with my foster mom and then when I can curl up next to her in bed at night. Duke seems to fit into our routine really good. He is not a hyper dog and likes to lay around and chill out. Duke and Abby especially seem to be getting along really well and both of them lay together on the pet bed together. Sometimes Duke rolls over and ends up laying right on top of Abby. Abby doesnt mind though... The funniest thing though is when Duke lays down. He has to go around in circles at least three times before laying down. Sometimes he goes four, or five, or even six times around in circles before laying down. Sometimes it seems like he will never find the right spot and will just keeping going round until just the right moment comes around and then....... nope, not quite right, and he tries it again.... The other funny thing he does is he goes to lay down and ends up body slamming himself to the ground with a loud thud. He does it on the right side, nope, not the right side, gets up and body slams himself to the left, THUD! Then he gets up and does it again.... Silly boy will do it four or five times in a row.... Duke just doesnt seem to be able to get comfortable.... poor boy! Well, it is time for me to get comfortable........ Good night everyone! Chester
