If you can remember Fergusons Shoe Store, Crystal Hotel & Cafe,Edgingtons Case Building, Bueford Houses dry cleaners~they are all gone now. The Ford Garage on S Cimarron has been removed. THe old Colys grocery on the corner, then a stamp store is now a parking lot. The old Masonic building (had Byers Dress shope & Palmers Variety in it) now a park. THe old Texaco Station across from the Methodist Church on East Main is now Loaf N Jug. The other Texaco station was Loves and is now vacant. The old Shamrock is gone and replaced by Dollar General. The Armstrong grocery is now Black Mesa Beef Jerky plant. So much has changed since you were here. This year we have added a new cafe Angels (the old Moonlight/Cozy/Loiss Donut Shop). Cimarron County Sweets & Eats (Norene Noreen Stevenson Walker) has a bakery there. The Bourk Hardware is now Brats Candle Company. The old John Deere on West Main is a new building contractor. The old Townsman cafe is now a repair shop for AC, Heaters, and appliances. On the square the drug store is gone. Judy Harkins is still in the old Phillips on the SW corner of the square. Dr. Merkley office is now a flower shop owned by Melissa Ogles Wyley. Next to her is the abstract office~finally got it back to BC. The old Graham insurance office is now part of Mansky Law Office (old Loofbourrow, Loofbourrow and McMahan law office). The First State Bank of BC is still in the same place. Going on South of there, the Coly building is still there but vacant. Across the street the old lumber yard is still there and vacant. The ASCS office, Soil Conservation office and Farm Bureau are in a recently new building. It is next to the John Deere. There are several cottage industries here, but so many new people, cant tell you who they are. In any event, BC is changing and you need to come back and see us so you will know what happened to all of our old town. Have a good day. :-)
