If you come to Chiang Mai alone or with anyone who enjoy walking and eating, I suggest Wat Kate area(wat=temple). Starting from the Nawarat bridge will lead you to 4 interesting places(A-D). If you come from night market, go down the bridge and turn left you will find Wawee coffee(A). Its taste doesnt much like the taste from heaven,but the view of this cafe is wonderful as its on the river bank. Walk along the same side of coffee shop for 50 meters you will find a Chicken Noodle Shop(B) which is opposite to the back side of Wat Kate temple. Not only noodle soup but also rice with chicken dishes are so cheap and tasty. Next one is Kanom Beung Yuan (C) or crispy giant pancake with sweet coconut filling. Its hard to explain, you have to try by yourself. The last shop is Piemsuk cake shop(D). The cake shop is famous for its coconut cake and pie. If you still have some space for more food, dont forget this cake shop. This kind of journey we can make it within 1or 2hours, or all day depends on your time. Enjoy Chiang Mai!
