If you could please take a moment out of your day to say a prayer for baby Joseph. The last couple of days, he hasnt been acting himself. Hes been crying and screaming so much and we could really tell that something just wasnt right. I took him into the doctor today and his oxygen was in the 70s. They took a quick look at him and had him admitted into the ICU within 30 minutes of us arriving. The valve in his heart is leaking too much so now he has pulmonary edema (fluid on his lungs) and hes having a very hard time breathing. They just put in a breathing tube, a central line, an arterial line, a regular IV, and a foley catheter. Hes sedated and on pain medication, so hes very comfortable and stable now. After looking at the valve, they decided that he will need another surgery much sooner than expected. Theyre going to watch him through the weekend and depending on how he does, he will most likely have another surgery next week. Please keep him, the doctors, the surgeons, and us in your prayers the next couple of days and weeks until we know that Josephs heart is working at 100% capacity. Thank you all.
