If you dont absolutely have to go out, please stay off of the roads. Let the plows do their jobs and allow emergency services the capability to get to where they need to go unimpeded. If you have a vehicle parked on the street and it is possible to park in a driveway, please do so. If your home or business has a fire hydrant in front or near to it, please shovel it out to help your volunteer firefighters help you and your neighbors in a possible emergency. Please DO NOT throw snow into the street while clearing your property. By the forecast, our plows are going to have a tough time ahead of them and extra snow will only hinder the process and possibly endanger those who need to use the roadways. Remember, always use common sense and dont become a victim yourself. Take breaks while shoveling and watch for signs of frostbite. It is not good to sweat in extreme cold conditions. Stay safe and enjoy the time home with your families.
