If you ever wanted to know what idealized black patriarchy looks like in the head of black men, look no further. This right here is the model black boys have in their head as THE aspiration. I oughta know, this is what was drilled into mine growing up. Kinda incredible and heroic on its face, no? Unless youre the helpless, windswept woman being propped up solely by the strength and majesty of the man. If only they could have stood strong and powerful together; how much more incredible might that have been? *sips tea*
