If you ever wonder if your job matters: A man came into the ReStore this morning and was looking at this side bar and kitchen table. He said his house had burned down and him and his wife needed all new everything. He said he wanted to get the 2 items as way to tell his wife everything was going to be all right. We talked a bit more and he bought it. About 2 hours later a woman came in and was looking at the items. She seemed upset. I asked her what was wrong? She said her house had burned down and she had desperately wanted these two pieces. I said, does your husband have a salt and pepper beard and matching short hair? She looked at me, her eyes filled tears and she started crying. I told her you better still act surprised when he tells you! She said Dont Worry I cry all over again. She said Thank You so much! You have no idea what this means to us. Truth is I dont. Ive been very fortunate to never have had a disaster in my life. But the joy on this womans face....yeah....thats why I get up in the morning.
