Let me remind John Boehner about one of the most iconic president and Republican, Theodore Roosevelt. Despite his reputation for an imperialistic foreign policy which kind of got us into the international policing mess, on domestic issue he was what today is called progressive liberal. Despite congressional discouragement to his idea of conservation rather using the designated national park land for business use, Theodore Roosevelt used his executive privileges to build national parks and conserve natural resource for the goal of a better environment for the future. His forward think was and still is remarkable. John Boehner needs to go back to school and relearn his American politics.
