If you grew up watching A Muppet Christmas Carol on VHS when you were young, you may notice a key scene missing from the Netflix version. Turns out Netflix (and all recent Blu-Ray versions of the film for that matter) only contain the Theatrical Cut, and this song was only in the Home Video version from the 90s, due to company execs feeling it was too slow and weighed the film down. Personally I couldnt imagine watching the movie without it; its an integral, emotional part of the story and one of the most, for lack of a better word at the moment, feels-y songs in any family film Ive ever seen (its up there with When She Loved Me from Toy Story 2). If your first time seeing this movie is on Netflix (which I still recommend, its one of my favorite holiday movies), be sure to watch this scene as well, it adds a lot of gravitas and meaning to the film.
