If you have ever been to La Ceiba, Honduras with Total Health I am certain you remember Merpran Irias. Since the beginning, Merphran was the Honduran administrator for Total Health and then Total Home before recently joining his family as a missionary for their church plant in the Dominican Republic. Before moving to the Dominican, Merphrans wife Gabby was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Gabby received her first treatments in Honduras and has been recveiving on-going treatment in the Dominican. However, in March they received the news that things had not gone as expected and Gabby required an urgent surgery that she received last Thursday. This surgery and treatment will cost $10,000 or more. There is no health insurance opportunity, and Merphran and his family will have to bear this cost. Merphran and his family have given generously to Total Health and its missionaries for the past ten years. The entire family gave tirelessly of themselves to ensure that the missionaries were safe, comfortable, and cared for. In their time of need, we at Total Health would like to give back to them. We would also like to extent the opportunity for those of you that have also been the recipient of their grace and hospitality to give back. To to this, Total Health has established a separtate fund into which those wishing to help Merphran and his family can contribute.
