If you have spent time in a neo natal unit in Northern Ireland please complete our survey. The cost of having a baby in neonatal care in Northern Ireland Bliss and TinyLife have teamed up to find out more about the extra costs parents of premature or sick babies face in Northern Ireland. https://surveymonkey/s/financialcosts We want to find out how parents in Northern Ireland experience, and manage, any extra costs they face while their baby is in neonatal care. The survey will also find out how much support is available to parents while their baby is being cared for on the unit. You can take part in our survey here, it should only take around 30 minutes to complete. All responses will be kept anonymous, and a report detailing the results will be produced at the end of the year. Research in Britain has already shown parents face extra costs of over £2000 across their babys stay in neonatal care. The most common reasons for these costs were: Funding daily travel. Having to buy food from expensive franchises and hospital canteens. Paying for accommodation to stay near their baby. You can find out more about our research in the rest of Britain so far here.
