If you like the way the Liberals are managing Ontario s economy then John Tory is the Mayor you should support. His campaign team and political insiders are all part of the Ontario Liberal elite and advisors to our very own Premier Kathleen Wynne His campaign manager is the former campaign manager for Kathleen Wynne when she became Liberal leader and Premier. If Tory becomes Mayor he will be surrounded in his office by Ontario Liberals and we will have Queens Park running the city. This is a problem since the Mayor must represent the people of Toronto and not be a puppet and subservient to the Provincial Liberals. After over 35 years of serving as a City Councillor and teaching politics and advising candidates on civic government in Scarborough and Toronto I am of the firm belief through experience that there must be separation between the City of Toronto and the Province in all decision making. John Tory is not an independent candidate who will stand up for the people of Toronto and there will be times when it is necessary to disagree with the Provincial government. Tory cannot and will not oppose the Province when it meddles and opposes issues that the people of Toronto support. Tory will be a puppet of Kathleen Wynne and therefore I strongly recommend he not be given the keys to the Mayors office. He smiles nicely and is polished but look out he is not the person he represents in this campaign.He represents the elite and Liberal hangers on who want power for its own sake and do not care enough for the average resident. Vote for Doug Ford, a man of the people who is not a puppet of the Liberal party and is running for Mayor for all the right reasons - to serve and make a difference. He gave his salary while Councillor to charities and is sacrificing a lot to work for people and not the elite or for a political party.
