If you listen to those sounds of expiratory effort athletes and players make within their respective sports they not only vary in the intensity ,magnitude and duration of the sounds they make specific to the task they are engaged in at the time but they also vary from individual to individual . There is no real definable sound for any particular effort even though there might be strong similarities ..Such variable primal sounds as ive already pointed out can be used to support a particular purpose as in strike , effect , entry, check , block , cover , throw , choke , get in rhythm, timing , type of impact , stabilize core , override pain or distraction .They can also serve to remove inhibitions as well as provide familiar audible cues for a particular effort, or pattern of efforts ,ie jab , cross , check , push and low round . Individually these patterns of accompanying sound can be more structured or more random as well as more audible or more internalized . From what ive observed and experienced though they are never the same sound as say in a karate kiai or prolonged to the point where the flow of orientation and interaction with your opponent is broken . https://youtube/watch?v=CBVRJaPYkKA
