If you look up October 1 on Google, you will find long lists of various important events which have occurred on this date throughout history. Today, however, none of that matters - well, not to me anyway. Today, I share with you the birth of mine and Kaylas son, Theodore Jethro Strickland. Little Teddy was 8-pounds, 7.6 ounces and 20-inches in length. After a somewhat difficult labor, Teddy was born through a C-section at 07:29 hours. Both Teddy and Kayla are doing well, and are attempting to rest (it is difficult to rest, however, when you have a parade of hospital staff entering your room, poking and prodding both your wife and freshly-baked baby). We will be be staying at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville through Friday. For the time being, Kaylas access to the world via electronics is limited (as her hands are full of baby); therefore, please feel free to send her messages via text, Facebook, Snapchat, or any other way you young folks communicate. I will be relaying the messages and well be responding as quickly as possible. Visitors are also welcome, but you should keep in mind I am 1.) armed, and 2.) having to interact with various medical staff that can, at times be highly irritating, so know that I will not be tolerating any hijinks or tomfoolery. I will offer, at this time, three very cute pictures to placate your baby viewing needs, until more pictures can be taken; one picture is of him and Kayla, one is of him being cute like Kayla, and one is of him doing an impression of me. Thank you again for all the well wishes and well be seeing you soon.
