If you missed the 5-7am KJRH news, heres your conversation style weather update on the strong cold front: When does the next cold front arrive? Tonight. The front will push thru the Tulsa area and most of eastern Oklahoma between 5-9pm. Will I know when it gets here? Yes! The wind will shift N and increase to 20-30mph, so very windy and much cooler. How much colder? Temperatures will fall about 30 degrees this evening! Will drop from near 70° into the 40°s. Any rain with the front? Not much, nothing significant. Light rain cant be ruled out this evening. Could Oklahoma get any ice or snow? Cant rule it out! A brief changeover to sleet or slow is possible, especially toward NW Arkansas. No accumulation, mainly some whoa, I think its sleeting! type moments. How cold we will be Tuesday morning? The temperature wont look that bad as well be near 30°. But the wind chill will make it feel close to 10°! Highs will struggle just to reach 40°. Will be a big jacket day. Will we see a killing freeze? Yes, temperatures will dip into the 10s and low 20s by Wednesday morning. This will end our growing season. Is the weather remaining cold all week? Well see a slow warming trend, but staying cool.
