Such a beautiful place to tour and visit. *Stop at Walnut Creek Flea Market Over 55,000 square feet of shopping and lunch on your own. Shop till you drop or sit back and enjoy much from local gospel/bluegrass groups and enjoy some lunch in the amish cafe. This is some of the best cheese in the Amish country. *Stop at Heinis Cheese to stock up on some yummy amish cheese. The Amish farmers still provide their milk to their factory in traditional milk cans, the same manner as their forefathers did. The relationship between the farmers and the Dauwalder family is personal, and together they are committed to continuing on into the 21st century. Amish culture and hospitality at its finest!! *Admission to The farm at Walnut Creek(included in price of the tour). They are a working farm and as such, the type of activities visitors may witness during a visit change with the seasons. Depending on the time of year, you may see plowing, thrashing, canning, quilting and more. You can tour otheir non-electric farm houses, buy produce at our farm stand, and take pictures of all that you see. The Farm is a fun and educational experience for people of all ages. Exoctic animals will walk up and eat right out of your hand at The Farm. *Admission to the animal preseve at The farm at Walnut Creek (included in price of tour). Horse Drawn wagon ride through the animal preserve at the farm guided by a local Amish resident who tells us history and information about the amish culture and customs (included in price of tour) Located near the heart of Amish Country in Ohio, The Farm at Walnut Creek hosts over 500 animals, comprised of species from six of the seven continents. Our menagerie includes exotic animals such as giraffes, camels, zebras, and kangaroos along with more common animals like horses, llamas, and deer. Visitors have the opportunity to view and hand-feed the animals from a horse-drawn carriage. You can also visit some of the animals in our petting zoo. What man doesnt love Cheese and Meat!! Also ladies if you enjoy baking this is the place for you to stock up on your baking supplies. *Stop at Walnut Creek Cheese & Bulk Food to stock up on Bulk Food, Spices & Amish Meats. Folks bring coolers to haul home pork chops, hamburger, steaks and chicken from their Meat Shop. In the back room they blend spices from their special recipes and smoke our sausage.
