If you or anyone you know has Cigna Health Spring Medicare, I strongly urge you to change plans ASAP, their services are deplorable. I have a suspicious freckle in my left eye and was referred to a Retina specialist over 10 months ago. I have yet to get Cigna Healthspring to approve the referral. Initially when I first called, it was approved immediately, then when I went to make the appointment. Cigna Healthspring needed my eye dr. to name a specific specialist, after 3 attempts via phone and email I got that. Now Citgna Healthspring wants me to have the referral done via my primary care physician. Just lost it with the poor clerk answering the phone at Cigna Healthspring and now am on hold with medicare to file a complaint AGAIN. Will have Humana after the first of the year. Also my PCP and hospital system has dropped them. So very angry.
