If you think the bad news from Europe is bad lets just do a spot check on the unresolved territorial issues and potential conflicts between Asian countries : - on the Korean peninsular - between Russia and Japan - between China and Korea - between China and Japan in the East China Sea - between Korea and Japan - between China and four South East Asian Nations in the South China Sea - between Thailand and Cambodia - between China and India - between India and Pakistan an escalation on any of the above could heighten China - US controversies and drag in the nuclear armed Asian players Russia, China, North Korea, Pakistan and India. Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope not to wake up to some Asian version of an amateur statesman like Putin to raise temperatures here.
