If you weren’t at Jammit on Thursday night, you won’t know that Chas is back! The keyboard master was in fine form as always and carries a mean tune with the best. What’s more he brought a very talented lady singer with him who laid us in the aisles! Welcome back Chas. You also missed, after a few false starts, Kevin and Alan almost finishing “Duelling Banjos”. Maybe they’ll do it in instalments. It was entertaining to watch Ms Jones snapping random shots with her very latest model state of the art air camera. We’re looking forward to those on face book Sue. See! There’s another thing you missed! John Clark has come back to life now his Judy is home and his contribution was undeniably celebratory. Mike John got the joint rockin’ again and Peter the plumber blew some mean harmonica accompaniment to the classy performances that Jammit is known for. One of the many highlights of the night was singer Noelene, all the way from Bairnsdale Victoria performing some great numbers with the band. Steve and son Nick and Geoff Mapstone were superb as always and the inimitable Norm Smith, with Greg Henderson, Paul Mills and Kevin Brand never cease to amaze with their ability to provide accompaniment to whatever the performers throw at them, as well as produce some pretty potent magic of their own. The dancers were in full flight again and the only blight on the proceedings was that 9 o’clock rolled around too soon. Make sure you are there next week, you might miss something!! Crystal Peters
