If your able to pin back your lug holes and listen to these two very well respected scientists, evolutionary biologist prof. richard dawkins, cosmologist and theoretical physicist prof. Lawrence Krauss will have you question any beliefs in a god you may have. like prof. krauss says, why anyone would believe the writings (the bible) of iron age peasants who believed the universe revolved around earth (geocentrism) is just ridiculous, this is just one of so many instances where they believed something that science proved it to be completely wrong. Giordano Bruno a 17th century mathematician who correctly theorised and agreed upon the Copernican model of heliocentrism by where the earth and the other planets in our solar system revolve around the sun was executed by the roman inquisition for heresy and for the denial of catholic doctrines. he died because he dared to disbelieve in nonsense, his theorys would later be confirmed by Galileos invention the telescope. Galilieo also felt the wrath of the church having himself been placed under house arrest for the rest of his life in 1633. When ever there is a gap in our understanding of the world and the universe around us some religious idiot comes out and says it must of godly origins, I am of course referring to the god of the gaps argument, the gaps of which having been closing for hundreds of years and continue to close as science prevails and continues to make discoveries. they say that the bible is the greatest story ever told, i happen to think the story of the universe is the greatest story ever told. The complexity and wonder of the universe is truly something to behold and it doesnt need a god to exist! the unbelievers is a film that explores the avenues of reason and science and also includes interviews with Ricky Gervais, Tim Minchin, Cameron Diaz and more. if you can not understand anything these guys are saying, which by the way is not hard, I put it to you that is why you believe in the existence of a god!
