On account of the massive presence of Indian community in Middle East, Science International Forum was established under the aegis of VIJNANA BHARATI, the national movement for Science and Technology , which is supported by around 800 eminent Scientists and Technocrats from India. It also works closely with prestigious organizations like ISRO, DRDO, HAL,BRAHMOS etc . In Middle East, SIF was first established in Oman in 2004 which was followed by Qatar, UAE, and Bahrain. It provides an excellent platform for the Indian students in this part of the world, to experience the achievements and developments in the field of Science and Technology. Kuwait is also formally joining this league with the establishment of Science International Forum-Kuwait. SIF-Kuwait, facebook/Sifkuwait ,is a voluntary organization formed as the official representative of National Science Movement/ Vijnana Bharati, Supported by professionals in the fields of Science, Technology and Education, Philanthropists and prominent members of business community in Kuwait. SIF-Kuwait aims at the introduction of India’s rich scientific heritage to our younger generation which will help to ignite the scientific spirit in them. Identifying and appreciating the students with a flair for science and technology will definitely motivate our younger generation to take up science as a career. At a pre launch meeting held at Sopanam Hall, Salmiya on 24th September 2014, the officials said that SIF-Kuwait is all set for its official launch. With a set of activities in line including Sasthra Prathibha Contest, Science Camp, interactions with scientists etc in association with SIF movement worldwide, SIF Kuwait expect to reach the whole Indian students community in Kuwait.
