If your child attends a Christian school, memory work may be assigned. I have found it helpful to run three copies. One for their folder, one for home, and one in the car. Plan ahead! Trying to memorize a paragraph five minutes before school is not a good way to start the day. A few minutes before bed each night, and a few minutes in the car on the way to school can take a lot of the stress out of memory work. We take the memory work in small, manageable chunks. I have also found using silly voices or putting the memory to music helps kids "hide it in their heart".
