If youre a theist and are troubled by the effect Richard Dawkins is having on your fellow theists what do you do: Distort the facts to make it appear that he is doing the opposite. Although the converts Dawkins has supposedly made to Christianity by being strident involve Catholics they are an example something that is common among converts to born again Christianity: The convert distorts his life before conversion e.g. claiming to be an atheist when one wasnt (which Ive personally seen happen) or making up stuff that makes one seem more sinful than one actually was. Remember Mike Warnke, the Satan Seller? I agree with Jerry Coyne that if one is converted from Atheist to Christian by reading The God Delusion then their atheism wasnt well thought out. (One example given in the article he critiques was actually a Catholic, not an atheist.)
