If youre white and youre from a small town or a pretty homogenous area (any race really), it can be really hard to comprehend how often people are reminded that they are different because of their skin color, because you see so little diversity day to day. Trust me, Im from a small town and I know first hand that you dont get exposed to that very often. Doesnt make you bad, you just might not have those experiences under your belt. Theres always an opportunity to take a moment and understand the world better. Even if you dont change your mind about this particular case, you should be aware of role race plays in your life good or bad.
