If youre looking for an opportunity to serve the folks of Pilger, - TopicsExpress

If youre looking for an opportunity to serve the folks of Pilger, Dundee Presbyterian is taking a group there to help with tornado relief efforts this Saturday, June 28. The group may be working to clear fields north of Pilger and Wisner for replanting, as well as working in Pilger. If youre interested in joining, contact Tower Kountze at [email protected]. If you want to just go on your own at another time, volunteers gather daily at Wisner-Pilger Junior/Senior High School at 801 18th Street in Wisner. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. Volunteers are transported to Pilger to work from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., with buses running between Wisner and Pilger throughout the day. Even if volunteers helped previously, they must register every day. Volunteers are bused to and from Pilger. Photo IDs are required and a parental waiver needs to be signed for any individual younger than 19 years old. Bring boots, gloves, long sleeves, long pants and sunscreen. A sack lunch is a good idea, but food is often available. Monetary donations are also greatly appreciated and can be accepted at any Midwest Bank location (Norfolk, Pierce, Plainview, Creighton, Lincoln, York, and Deshler). Donations also may be mailed to the following address: Pilger Community Development Fund c/o Midwest Bank PO Box 346 Pilger, NE 68768
