If youre looking for me tomorrow, its not going to be a good time to do so.... Because tomorrow is a big scary day... and honestly, Im not looking forward to it. I dont so much mind having to fast tonight through tomorrow for the ultrasound appointment in the morning - nothing to worry about, just a cursory exam of my liver, before new prescriptions are provided. The scary part is in the afternoon... It will be my first session of NHS Laser, facial hair removal. When I had a patch test done, 8 weeks ago - I got to experience a tiny tiny taste of what is sure to be the most painful experience Ive ever had. Last year, several sessions of IPL were done by a very good friend and it was honestly excruciating, but tolerable and knowing the person doing it helped a lot... but this will be me laying on a table while an unknown practitioner zaps me, likely over a hundred times with something akin to setting my face on fire with electricity. The only hopeful element is that Ive prescription numbing cream... fingers crossed that it is really really effective. So, wish me luck, this is one of the hard parts of transition and Im hoping that it wont be long before its over and done completely.
