If youre travelling this morning please drive with care. AA Roadwatch are reporting the following road closures and travel disruptions; Snow has fallen overnight. Icy roads have added to treacherous driving conditions already being experienced due fallen debris from yesterdays storms. TIPPERARY: Many of the fallen trees from yesterday have been cleared at this stage. Motorists are still advised to continue to use the main roads as windblown debris and fallen trees may be a problem on secondary routes. Road conditions are treacherous on back roads in the Killenaule and Ballingarry areas following a hard frost last night. It’s snowing in Nenagh this morning and there was snowfall overnight at Cahir. There is a tree blocking the Cashel /Holycross Rd (R660) between Boherlahan and Holycross. CORK: It’s snowing this morning in Co. Cork, care is needed around Macroom and there is snow lying on M8 Dublin/Cork Rd at J18 Glamire. The Rylane/Nadd Rd (R579) is closed until further notice. LEITRIM: A truck has jack knifed on the Drumkeeran to Dowra Rd 6km outside Drumkeeran. The road is closed until at least 10am and the road may have to close at some stage. Care is needed in the area as this route is extremely icy. KERRY: Motorists are advised to continue to avoid the Dingle Peninsula. Ardfert/ Ballybunion Rd is closed until mid-morning on Thursday 13th Feb at Liscahane. The Annadale Rd in Killorglin remains closed from Bianconi Inn to Glencar Cross due to fallen trees. The N71 Killarney/Kenmare Rd remains closed at Muckross House. There are reports of lots of trees down in the area so avoid if possible. LIMERICK: The Old Barna Rd between Newcastle West is treacherous with snow and ice, particularly at Killarney Pole. A number of roads reportedly remain blocked or partially blocked due to trees down: The N24 Limerick/Waterford Rd is closed at Grange Cross The N69 Limerick/Tralee Rd down to one lane at Bolane and also at Borrigone, Askeaton. The N69 Limerick/Tralee Rd is closed at Kildimo. The Birdhill Rd (R445) is closed between Herberts Pub and Dalys. The Donoghmore Rd (R217) is closed at Drombanna. The Doon/Cappawhite Rd (R505) is closed. Quinns Cross Rd (R510) is closed near Mungret. Taylors Cross (R511) is closed at Fedamore. The Roxborough Rd (R511) is closed near the golf club. Main St (R512) in Killmallock is close Nevilles Cross (R519) is closed. Ardagh to Newcastle West Rd (R521) closed. LAOIS: Black ice reported around parts of Portlaoise. The Block Rd in Portlaoise remains blocked between the hospital and the N80 Stradbally Rd jct due to a large fallen tree. No further reports of fallen trees and ESB power lines on the Durrow /Ballacolla Rd (R434). WEXFORD: Frosty conditions around Enniscorthy. The Enniscorthy/ Ballymore Rd is closed due to fallen electrical cables. Courtown/ Kilmuckridge Rd in Courtown is closed between Riverchapel and turnoff for harbour as a roof blew off a building yesterday. Signposted diversions are in place. *TRAVEL* FLIGHTS: Passengers travelling to Dublin, Cork or Shannon Airports are advised to check their airlines website before travelling to the airport. FERRIES: There are delays and cancellations to ferry sailings this morning. Passengers are advised to check their ferrys websites before travelling. IRISH RAIL: Bus transfers remain in operation between Tralee and Mallow due to a power outage on the route. Bus transfers remain in operation between Limerick and Athenry due to a storm damage. All other rail services are operating this morning, but some delays may occur. BUS EIREANN: Some disruption to services in the South East, check buseireann.ie for further information.
