If youve been reading my page the last couple of days, you know that someone on my page took offense at one of my posts supporting Law Enforcement Officers and blasted me pretty crudely, which ended with them calling me names, said I was racist (hes white, btw), and then he unfriended me...though he threw a few jabs with PMs before he left. He then cussed me out on his own page. I looked over his page and it was filled with hate comments and links to articles that spewed the same thoughts. I usually accept all friend requests on my personal page, unless I know the person and they do not fit (i.e. people who cant speak without throwing the F bomb every other word). Sometimes it takes awhile for a persons true colors/feelings to show, sometimes its obvious right off. The funny thing is, I care about a persons character, their heart, not their political and/or religious affiliation. Their color doesnt matter to me at all either. I recognize that where they live, their color, their spiritual beliefs (or lack of) and their political thoughts help mold them into the person they are today. My dad wrote a quote at the top of his Daily Planner every month: Your point of view establishes your viewpoint! I grew up learning the true meaning of that statement. Its what makes all of us different... and UNIQUE. We may not agree, but if we respect each other as individuals, we can discuss our different points of view while still remaining friends. Shoot I even have a few friends who are Gator fans, so you know I can deal with almost everybody! ;-)
