If youve never had the chance, do your best to watch the DVD (or on-line) this superb colour WW2 film...........made in 1943, The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp............ By WW2, this old soldier (Roger Livesey) is a Home guard Commander and his MTC driver the rather nice Deborah kerr.........but the film covers his life from pre-WW1 through to WW2 and with his German friend Theo (played by Anton Walbrook) ever present..............also features a young John Laurie (Frazer in Dads army)......... Wartime, home-front and colour too........some propaganda messages in there but only to be expected..........and just superb.........timeless.....
