If you’re cursed with an expensive taste and a budget, I have the perfect spring sublet to suit your refined needs! I share a basement with four other people (three super cool dudes and one very chill gal that have fantastic tastes in music, film, and television). Students live upstairs too though, if you wanna befriend them! We are located in the middle-class neighbourhood of Beechwood (Fischerhallman-Erb), so it’s quiet, safe, and away from the student ghetto. While it’s distant enough from the overbearingness of student central, you’d be close enough to still have a nice social life. You have all the bus routes (5, 29, 201, 202) you need to take you to both Waterloo and Laurier, to all the summer parties your friends are throwing, Conestoga Mall, Boardwalk, AYCE sushi joints, Uptown, etc. Bus stops are a 1 or 2 song walk (depends what you’re listening to). Also, there are nice trails close by and everything is bike-able if you’re an active person. Inside the house: - The room is modest sized, but it’s simple and minimalistic, so I like it. There’s a closet, of course. You can use my monitor, if you want to dual screen, my nice Altec Lansing speakers will be left too. So you can use the stuff I leave with you granted you take care of them as you would take care of your stuff 😄 - Cozy living room with two couches, wall-hung 40-inch screen TV (you’re gonna have to be cool with Brandon if you want hook your stuff up through his Boxee and Xbox), a record player (this is mine, if I get to know I’ll let you have a hand with it while I’m away 😄) - We don’t really have a dining room since the living room kinda melds in with the kitchen (kinda open concept? See photos) - Our stove is on granite top though, it was new when we got here. Oven, microwave, and toaster are all new. We have two fridges. - We technically have 2 bathrooms, but 1 is split into a powder room and the shower (so it’s convenient when your roommate has to crap and you’re in the shower) - We have a nice backyard, perfect for bbq-ing during the spring!!! - And honestly, the appeal of this place is the people I live with, if you’re a fairly introverted person that only really opens up with a few close people, then this is the place for you. I can’t oversell my roommates enough. - Utilities + Internet are included. - I currently pay $480 a month but this is not what I expect you to pay.
