If you’re looking for help with your academic writing ( essays etc) head over to the Middlesbrough Tower where there are two Royal Literary Fund fellows whose job it is to help you. It’s a free and confidential service which offers writing tutorials from published writers has always been extremely popular with students and now, for the first time, there will be two Fellows on hand to offer advice and support. Anna Barker and new Fellow, Carol Clewlow, are available to help any student studying any subject, from undergraduate to PhD. Specific support is available for structuring essays and longer pieces of writing and developing a fluent and articulate style, as well as understanding the requirements of critical analysis. Their office is situated in Middlesbrough Tower, M.407 and appointments are offered three days per week. Currently both can be contacted on email at [email protected]. Students are asked to bring some written work to the one-to-one meeting so it can be discussed.
