Ignorance sucks! I just bought a food processor on Ebay. A nice one. After receiving it, I read the manual like a good little girl. I very carefully unpacked and assembled everything according to the directions. I fiddled, I tweaked, I re-assembled that stupid thing three times to no avail. I could NOT get it to run! After day two, I was convinced I had been sold a lemon. The seller was not very forthcoming when I asked questions so I opened a claim on Ebay to return the item and get my money back. Now heres where things get hokey. I have a dear friend, Mary Lucas, who is probably one of the most devout Christians I know. She is like a beam of sunshine everywhere she goes! She walked into my kitchen for a visit so just for kicks and giggles, I asked her to take a look at this accursed food processor. She tweaked a couple of things adding a mixer blade, as well as the slicing blade, which was NOT task-supportive, and turned the stupid thing on. It ran! But you cant have both blades going at the same time! I popped the lid off, removed the mixer blade, put the lid back on making very sure it was locked ( safety feature ) And it again started right up purring like a kitten! I had tried it like this before with ZERO results! What was different????? In one of those God inspired flashes of knowledge that comes to you out of the blue, I got my answer. That freaking lid can be locked in three different positions but only ONE of them is the right position. The tab on the lid has to be lined up with the handle on the work bowl. --- Does it SAY this in the manual? NO! Does it SHOW this in the manual? NO! All it says is the lid has to be locked. Like I said - ignorance sucks! My favorite quote of all times is, ignorance is correctable. Stupidity is permanent. Stupidity is when you refuse to learn something new to correct your ignorance. I pray I NEVER get too stupid to learn new things! Thank you Lord Jesus for all blessings bestowed! Thank you for Mary. She is such a light!
