Ignoring dental health the way we do for poor people in this country is bad business! What ends up happening as a result is they wait until the situation is acute (read: expensive), and end up going to hospital emergency, where the cost to taxpayers is higher. Another important factor in this issue is that poor dental health has been clearly linked to several major health issues, which also downloads the cost onto our healthcare system. Prevention and maintenance would save us money overall
