Ikwerre Peoples Assembly urge Jonathan to contest The Ikwerre Peoples Assembly has called on President Jonathan to contest the 2015 election as a result of his performance and his recognition of the Ikwerre people. The group in a protest march on Tuesday declared that they also support the retention of Joseph Mbu as the commissioner of Police in the state. Announcing the position of the association in Port Harcourt during the protest march, leader of Ikwerre People Assembly, Mr Chima Boms stated that the people where Governor Amaechi hails from are unhappy at the verbal assaults that the Governor heaps on the President for no just cause. Also speaking, a former council chairman of Emohua LGA in Rivers State, Engr Emeka Woke called on the Rivers State Governor to account for the over two Trillion naira that have accrued to the state in the last six years.
