Ill give this movie credit that its not a dark revision like Alice in Wonderland and Maleficent, but I must say just about everything in this trailer has been in a previous version of Cinderella (Walt Disneys animated film, the Brandy TV movie, the current Broadway production, even freaking Cinderella III: A Twist in Time). I would add that Cate Blanchett does not seem to understand what made the 1950s Disney stepmother such a fantastic villain, but theres not really any reason to try to recreate that glory, so I wont hold this approach against her.
