Ill just say it since I dont see this position taken anywhere - if you dont like shopping on Thanksgiving, dont do it. Being angry at stores that are open when they make sales is, well, stupid. Everyone has to work in situations theyd rather not. Its called work. I would imagine that everyones had a job where they worked days and hours they didnt like. It comes with, well, working. And for everyone who laments the worker that has to work the evening of Thankgiving, I imagine that theres at least one worker that 1. Got their Thanksgiving in early like, you know, everybody and 2. Is probably making time and a half. Money isnt everything, and we all feel bad for those that have to deal with the rampant avarice on (and slightly before) Black Friday. But spare me the endless moral indignation and pointless boycott gestures, and spend the energy being grateful that aint you. And get me a cheap flatscreen while youre at it.
