Ill let you in on a little secret: I adore secondary characters. You know, not the hero or the heroine of the story, but the colorful people who step in and out of their lives, leaving an indelible mark? Yes, those folks! Throughout April Im sharing some of my favorite secondary characters that Ive written, beginning with the Furies from my first book, THE DEVIL IN DISGUISE. Three aunts who rule with iron fists, my Furies remain near and dear to my heart today. In the snippet below, our hero is encountering the Furies for the first time. Enjoy! Will had lied, cheated, stolen, maimed, and killed in the line of duty. In turn, hed been shot at, pummeled within an inch of his life, stabbed repeatedly, and nearly drowned--all for King and Country. One look at the women ensconced within the beautifully appointed sitting room and Will knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that it had all been childs play up to this point.
