Ill mention something that as such is an example of one of the problems with I think we have a failure to communicate here at the V.A. Having a very good understanding of V.A. policies and procedures by law I went to the V.A. emergency room requesting a console from the E.R. doctor to go to the dental department for the oral surgeon to evaluate on a medical need as a hospitalized emergency treatment. The E.R. of.. doctor said the V.A. doesnt do that because I am not 100% service connected. I explained the law concerning policies and procedures with the V.A. system of which he was totally unaware and said go talk to dental and ask them. I went to dental and they said go back and get a console. I did so and got the console and within an hour saw the oral surgeon who determined that my criteria was a medical need as a hospitalized treatment by law even through I was not 100% service connect
