Ill start at the end. If the point of the original post was to spark a conversation, then at least that conversation is sparked. But, I saw the original post and it was at best third-hand information, and you cant do anything with third-hand information. Yes, the onus is on women to come forward, and it will be that way for some time, so what we can do right now is say, I support you. Come to us, and we support you. And I believe the UCB Staff will support you if you come forward. And the community will support you. We will support you. So, if you feel like sharing this topic on the message board, include with it this phrase, If you come forward, I support you. Because the small staff at UCB is doing their best to make women more comfortable in this community, but it is the community as a whole that will bring real change.
