Illinois State Representative Arthur Turner paid a courtesy call on The Chicago Lighthouse Monday. The agency is a part of his legislative district. Rep. Turner recorded a segment for The Beacon, The Lighthouses popular weekly radio program on disability issues; received an update from Lighthouse President and CEO Dr. Janet Szlyk; and toured the agencys new Preschool and playground. Dr. Szlyk thanked Rep. Turner and his father, who previously represented the agency in Springfield, for their strong support of The Lighthouse and praised them both for being good friends to people who are blind, visually impaired and multi-disabled.
