Illustrated Lecture: The Big Myth: supernatural beings, creation ancestors, major dreamings & mythology in Aboriginal art. Emily will speak on the great spirit beings such as the Rainbow Serpent, the Seven Sisters, the Dingo and major dreamings such as fire and water, that form the basis of much of todays Aboriginal art. Through a fascinating variety of images she will explore the Aboriginal belief system in which these creation ancestors and dreamings are still alive today and how art is the medium through which they live on.
