Illustrious, Charismatic, Ebullient, Eloquent, Erudite 41 yr old GHANAIAN journalist - a full life, well-lived! He was a PROPER African man who was passionate about his continent and unapologetically shouted from the roof tops about it, in a country where many, in his shoes, just compromised....Seeing Komla interveiwing great leaders of this world as a BBC World, renowned TV journalist, filled me with great pride. He was a huge inspiration to all young African men, especially those who felt that it was almost impossible for them to break into the world of journalism in Britain. I quote Hayel Wartemberg: He (Komla) made me believe that it was possible that someone like me, could break into this crazy media field as a respected figure. What I can say, is that Komla and a few others before him (NOT ENOUGH I SADLY HAVE TO ADMIT) have opened that door for you, young African men, so GO Ahead and walk through that door with fortitude, determination and the strength of mind, not to bow to defeat, and you too will make it, by being the best you can be, at what you do. We need more of you to step out and continue where Komla left off. Using his talent to create such phenomenal value while here on earth, will make the Lord who blessed him with those gifts, very proud indeed. Just think what a welcome Komla will recieve on the other side...not least by the Lord our God, Komlas ancestors and the African Greats who have gone before him... Rest in perfect Peace, Komla! You are already being missed, big time!
