Ilyas Ibrahim will never join Nasheed- Yumna Maumoon Daughter of the former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, Yumna Maumoon has said that their maternal uncle, Ilyas Ibrahim will never join with former President Mohamed Nasheed ever. Yumna made this remark following a tweet of the former President Nasheed congratulating Ilyas Ibrahim claiming that Ilyas has decided to support him in the run off of the Presidential Election. Speaking to Miadhu Daily, Yumna said that Ilyas will never support Nasheed and Nasheed is tweeting to confuse the people and pull the wool over their eyes. He said that Nasheed is now desperately trying to get the support of the people who support Gayoom’s family. Yumna said that Ilyas is currently in Singapore and she met him last night and today afternoon. She said the tweet of Nasheed is baseless and is totally false. “Uncle left to Singapore today afternoon. I met him then and I met him even last night. Nasheed is trying to deceive the people by such lies and confusion. No member from my family, specially Ilyas Ibrahim will never join with Nasheed,” she said.
