Im Quit One Day @ A Time Quick update on my quit smoking. I just felt I should check my progress to date as I am focusing less on a day-to-day count of clean time. WOW! Im just over 60 days clean - and super grateful. So whats working this time thats different? Three key things. One is self-hypnosis using MP3s from several sources but mainly Dr. Steve G. Jones. Secondly, I thought of joining or starting a quit smoking forum and Facebook groups, and tried a few, but decided to start my own health and fitness Facebook page and website as a commitment to my overall health and to invite others to join me. The third factor is something I had little control over. My car broke down in June 2013 and is still in hospital! This sparked off walking and running to get the train - a lot of running in fact (often late). The running and walking started shifting something inside my body and mind and making me hunger again for my days of marathon running. A small shoot of hope began to appear that I could return to my former fit self when I did the Two Oceans in 1996. I had lost all belief this could happen! Now Im walking, running and cycling and enrolled in a 10km Fun Run this coming weekend. Im a little nervous but feel so good inside! Here is my Health and Fitness page if you want to join me.
