Im a fan of Hobby Lobbys position in the Supreme Court case and Ive enjoyed seeing dialogue during this process. Why? Because things like this pop up. Companies have as much control over 401K options as they do over health insurance. Hobby Lobby really should respond, sooner rather than later, over this seeming hypocrisy. If your response is, I dont trust Mother Jones Great! you have a duty to go find reliable information about this BECAUSE THIS MATTERS. Now, before we jump all over Hobby Lobby, what issues do you feel strongly about What do you object to participating in as a matter of conscience? Have you removed your investments from those areas? If not then perhaps you and I also have a duty to do so. Ive toyed with this issue with my investment advisor, but never really pursued it. Were all hypocritical to some degree, what matters is this: Do we change that hypocrisy when its pointed out, or do we tuck it away and hide it? Lets hope that both Hobby Lobby doesnt choose the second option...and lets make sure you and I dont either.
