Im a little frustrated with the Wall Street Journal. I havent had home delivery for the past month and after complaining every week (with no results) today, at the office, I received last weeks Weekend Paper. My frustration got the best of me with this live chat on the WSJ site. Did I go too far? Todd: Hi Arnold. ARNOLD: Hi Todd, I understand you have missed your weekend deliveries. Todd: I have been receiving the weekend edition FINE for about 3 or 4 years. Todd: then suddenly in August I STOPPED receiving the weekend edition at my HOME in Santa Monica. Todd: for no reason Todd: so Ive had to report it every week now for a month. Todd: and still no weekend edition at HOME. ARNOLD: We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. ARNOLD: Im showing that we have the right weekend address in Santa Monica, CA. Im sending your complaint to our delivery office, which is the most efficient way to communicate with our delivery operations team. I assure you were doing everything possible to get your problem resolved. Todd: YEs. Ive received the HOME EDITION AT HOME FOR 3 Years with no problems. Todd: but for 5 weeks now I have received NOTHING. Todd: and Ive written every week. ARNOLD: I understand how you are frustrated on what is happening on your weekend delivery. Ill notify the local office for investigation, I can assure you that this will be considered a priority by our field office and our local delivery team is working to get this problem corrected. Todd: Its like Im dealing with New York Post. Todd: How long should I wait? Todd: Or the Daily News Todd: What does my account say? how many editions have I missed and how many times have I written? ARNOLD: Please give our Delivery Team to resolve your problem this week. I am forwarding my report today. Todd: I know. But I have now heard this for four weeks straight. Todd: I delivered papers when I was 12 years old. Todd: Maybe he quit? Should I investigate on my end? Todd: If you send me his or her photo I can see about getting the image on milk cartons. If they still do that. ARNOLD: I understand, that is why i am sending this report right now. Todd: Or how about I walk to the store and they just give me one for free. Like I have an account and already paid for the paper. Just I have to pick it up. Todd: That works. Can you send me a laminated coupon? As I will probably have to use it for the foreseeable future. Todd: or maybe a debit type card. Todd: or a QR code for my smart phone. Then they can just scan it at the newstand. Todd: That works. Todd: I do have the electronic copy via the ipad but nothing beats sitting on the can with an actual paper. Todd: and I cant clean my car windows with an ipad. Todd: maybe there is an app for that.
